About Our Teaching
Small classes, Experienced Teaching, Individual Attention
We offer English tuition for students aged 11–18, with classes deliberately kept small—a maximum of ten, and often fewer. This allows us to do what matters most: teach each student as an individual, not as part of a crowd. Our classes are aligned with the UK National Curriculum. We also run Newspaper Society and Creative Writing Society for suitable candidates. Sample classes are available before you commit.

Maggie Russell, our Lead Teacher

Maggie Russell is our lead teacher. She has worked as Head of English, Head of Drama, Head of Special Needs, and Head of Sixth Form in both state and independent schools across London and Hertfordshire.
She holds an MA in Renaissance Studies, a PGCE, a BA in English and American Literature, and a Montessori Diploma.
Maggie has mentored one of the writers of the Paddington films and supports Cambridge students with disabilities through the university's the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre.
She says her teaching philosophy is simple: "See each child as an individual and share their passions. Success follows from there."
